West Lauderdale High School is thrilled to welcome a new face to our campus staff. Stone Alexander has recently joined West Lauderdale as a janitor, and we are grateful to call him a Knight.
Mr. Alexander plays an important role in keeping our school clean, safe, and welcoming for students and faculty every day.
When asked in an interview what a typical day on the job looks like, Mr. Alexander said,
“We start by taking out the trash first thing in the morning. Then I check the bathrooms, walk around to see if there is any loose trash, and clean the bathrooms twice a day. We also mop the halls about five times a day.”
Mr. Alexander also expressed his appreciation for how kindly the staff and students have treated him. He shared that he truly values the work schedule because it allows him to spend quality time with his family.
He offered words of encouragement by saying,
“Trust in the Lord and let Him lead you where He may.”
If you see Mr. Alexander in the hallways, don’t forget to thank him for all that he does. Students are also encouraged to help keep our campus clean by throwing away trash, following hygiene protocols, and cleaning up after eating.
