On a thrilling night, with stadium lights glaring above, West Lauderdale’s Knights take the stage, defeating Leake Central’s Gators in their homecoming game. Despite struggles in every corner, these Knights continued to put their all into this game.
The instant that the final bell rang, the Knights were victorious with 42-14 as the final score.
In the beginning of the game, Gators’ secured the first touchdown of the game. However, the Knights swiftly turned the game around, settling the score at 15-7 in the first quarter. These Knights did not stop there as Kayden (KP) Peoples lands a touchdown, setting the score at 21-7 with 15.8 seconds left on the clock in the second quarter. In total, Peoples secured 3 touchdowns in this game.
Though the Knights won this game, there’s always room for improvement. Focusing on improvement throughout the season is a key factor in their success. The homecoming atmosphere was also a key factor in their victory. According to Coach Clay, he says “The excitement of homecoming helps us to do our job”.
West Lauderdale Knights were victorious that night, and they intend to continue being victorious this season.
