On November 11, the West Lauderdale Academic team traveled to Oxford, Mississippi to compete in the Ole Miss Brain Brawl Tournament. The A-Team finished well with a record of 4-1. The B-Team, however, was not as successful and finished with a record of 1-4.
The Ole Miss Brain Brawl Tournament was the largest tournament West Lauderdale’s Academic team has competed in this year, having teams from several different states. Because of this, the competition was more intense than in tournaments past. Despite the tense competition, the A-Team was able to walk away with several strong victories. Although the B-Team did not have the same success, both teams are hopeful as they prepare for their next tournament. The West Lauderdale Academic team will compete again on December 2 in the Danielle Addams IV tournament at Itawamba.
