Academic Team is a club of erudite students who contend to prove who has the most trivia knowledge. Students compete by trying to be the quickest to hit a buzzer and answer a question accurately. West Lauderdale’s Academic Team is split into A and B Teams. The A Team consists of Emily Snodgrass, Brayden Alford, Tyler Greenlee, Aaron Teffeteller, and Foster Windham, and the B Team consists of Selena Williams, Caleb McElhenney, Rhea Garrison, Joel West, and Sawyer Windham.
When asked what she loves about Academic Team, Emily Snodgrass said, “You never know what’s coming, you learn something new every day, and there’s just an endless stream of knowledge coming your way, so that’s really exciting.”
The Academic Team will play again on November 11 in Oxford, Mississippi, at the Ole Miss Brain Brawl Tournament.
