On Tuesday, January 28, the West Lauderdale chorus visited the state Capitol. They performed two pieces of music in the beautiful rotunda. The students of West Lauderdale’s chorus have been working hard and practicing since they came back from Winter Break to make their performance perfect.
Students got the opportunity to experience an in-depth tour of the Capitol while attending. The amazing staff provided lots of historical and cultural information during the tour. They learned where and how the Legislature and the House of Representatives make important decisions for the state of Mississippi.
Chorus teacher Mr. Brandon Davidson says, “We went on a tour and learned all about our local government here in Mississippi, and we sang around the rotunda. The chorus did an amazing job, and I’m very proud of the hard work they have done.”
The next chorus performance will be on April 10th with MCC. Come out and support!
