On a chilly night, clothed with eagerness, the Knights lined up on the field, determined to make this night magnificent. With so much pressure, some would wonder how these Knights could triumph, yet they showed no mercy on the battlefield.
On Friday November 15, West Lauderdale Knights triumphed against Houston, ending this game with a final score of 25-7.
During the first quarter of the game, both sides had a slow start. The first quarter ended with a score of 0-0. However, the Knights quickly shifted the game with Kayden “KP” Peoples scoring the first touchdown of the game with 4:09 left on the clock.
Houston managed to score one touchdown against the Knights in the third quarter, but it would end up being their last. The Knights proceeded to score a touchdown in the third quarter, resulting in the score finalizing at 12-7. They did not let up as Kayden “KP” Peoples scored another touchdown in the fourth quarter. He proceeded to get one final touchdown of the game at 9:28 left on the clock.
This night demonstrated how team members must work together and rely on one another to bring success.
According to Peoples: “The team effort was great. Not only from the guys in the field, but also the guys on the sidelines. Everyone played a role in the game.”
As the game did start off slow, Peoples said, “The game’s momentum shifted when our defense came out and set the tone for us. Once the offense got rolling, it was pretty hard to try and stop us.”
This game was an exciting win for the Knights, as it gives them the opportunity to proceed further in the playoffs. No matter what, they intend to do all they can to win these upcoming games. This week, we have another game coming up. Come out and show out!
